Forest Adventure Park

Our office went to this pretty sweet place called Forest Adventure Park. It's kind of an obstacle course through the jungle. Mainly you ride 10 or so ziplines above the jungle and climb some rope ladders and bridges. It was pretty fun- and a whole lot more fun than work.

The deep tub

We have a really small, but very deep tub. The kids like it. Erin likes to practice diving.

The Lily Festival

The end of April/beginning of May is time for lilies. We took a 30 minunte ferry ride to an island called Ie Island (pronounced ee-yeh) to go see the annual lily festival. Supposedly there are over 1,000,000 lilies, but I have my doubts. Nevertheless, it was very beautiful.

And what lily festival would be complete without an... ostrich?

Bug Problem Solved

So we had this bug dilemma. How to deal with the big beetle bugs crawling around these parts. We pondered a while and then, one morning, Holly opened the curtains and voila! A solution presented itself. Big beetle problem was solved. So now we don't have to worry about those big beetles anymore...

Just for reference, (of the big reddish beetle, not the other gi-normous thing in the picture), that's the tip of my (not Holly's) finger in the photo.

Now, just what to do about those darned hammerhead worms...

Peace... or something

So, we were out and about visiting some of the local attractions. In this case, some castle ruins. Well, there was a school group there and they asked us if they could take a picture with the children. I woul dare to say that you will NEVER see a picture of Japanese girls in which they are NOT making the "peace" sign. Erin's catching on too, except she has it a little backwards. So, then of course we asked them to be in our picture too...

Sunset Beach

A few weeks ago, we went to a community beach clean-up. They handed out white gloves and garbage bags and then, well, we cleaned up the beach. Then it was hot enough that we decided to stay and play.

Happy Easter

Yes, we're still a little behind with the blog. But here are some pics from Easter. Erin was very excited to receive her first set of scriptures. And, amazingly, the Easter Bunny found his way all the way across the Pacific.
